Technology Control Framework Program and Operations team manages the technology control framework methodology to adhere with the firms Risk Management Framework and provides centralized governance and oversight of the control framework services. The Business Risk and Control Senior Manager will lead the team and report directly to the Head of Technology Control Framework.
Sets the foundational methodology for the Technology Control Framework program.
Manages critical engagements (Regulatory, Audit, TIRRO, Initiatives) to deliver timely execution of key activities resulting in the reduction of risk.
Monitors and drives the operational effectiveness and efficiency of Technology Control Framework Processes.
Drives monitoring, remediation and maintenance of the Technology Control PRC Inventory within the enterprise risk platform resulting in the timely, accurate and complete risk data
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: As a Business Risk and Control Senior Manager you will lead the Control Framework Program and Operations team in delivering the following:
Performing centralized governance, oversight, and facilitation of strategic planning for the Technology Control Framework.
Acting as a Framework, Methodology, and Governance point of contact for core Enterprise Risk Programs and Independent Risk Management.
Performing the centralized collection, administration, and support for all critical engagements applicable to the Technology Control Framework, facilitating collaboration of accountable resources and subject matter experts as required, and delivering on Technology Control Framework commitments.
Developing and performing all centralized process/control effectiveness and data compliance monitoring. Facilitating the identification, planning, and oversight for associated remediation activities.
Developing and performing all centralized Technology Control Framework communications and data management functions, including centralized reporting, training, education, and awareness programs.
Maintaining core inventories associated with Technology Control Framework specific Measures, Metrics, and Reporting to drive efficiency and opportunities for automation where appropriate.
Performing centralized management and maintenance for the Process, Risk, and Control inventory content; managing supporting technology relationships, data administration, and change management needs.
Works closely with the Central Risk Services Assessment team, Policy Management team, COSO, Business Control Leads, Process Owners and SLOD/TLOD to ensure the Controls Framework meets all requirements set by Corporate Risk

Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
3+ years of management experience
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other risk management discipline certification
Experience assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures and processes (includes compliance and operational controls within a large complex organization)
Experience with tracking, monitoring and implementing corrective actions or information security exceptions for Operational Risk or a combination of both.
Other Desired Qualifications
10+ years of direct management experience, leading multi-disciplined teams that can deliver program management, governance, and execute operational processes.
8+ years of Technology Service Delivery experience in key technology domains such as Application Development, Infrastructure, or Information Security.
7+ years project management experience with large scale technology projects including: business requirements, risk analysis, project planning, resource planning, risk/issue management, testing, and implementation
Strong knowledge and experience with technology-related regulatory requirements and frameworks including FFIEC, COBIT, COSO, NIST, ITIL as well as Enterprise Risk Policy & Frameworks, Technology Risk Management Policy, and Technology Control Processes
Ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions, while influencing decision-making process
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and lead / manage horizontally and in a matrixed organization
Strong ability and experience working with and collaborating with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional lines
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
