Cybersecurity Consulting Leader

Key Role:
Lead the management, delivery and continued innovation of Cybersecurity operations and services for a major civilian federal agency. Coordinate regularly with senior agency officials, including CIO, CISO, DCISO, chiefs and directors, and business leaders. Develop and manage relationships with strategic Cybersecurity partners and product vendors. Manage a complex, multi-task IT security and privacy contract and coordinate all project matters with the contract oversight manager responsible for overall contract performance. Assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and maintain responsibility for determining and acquiring needed resources. Apply expertise in large and complex secure networks with diverse locations to assist with the development, maintenance, management, and operation of trusted systems. Perform research and interface with subject matter experts on emerging and leading Cybersecurity technologies and domains, act as a strategic business advisor and align solutions with business needs, create innovative approaches to address client requirements, and build collaborative internal and external relationships with clients and business partners.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience with leading large-scale Cybersecurity programs and operations in complex organizations, including technology assessments, systems design, systems analyses, acquisition planning, and supporting budget planning
  • 5+ years of experience with architecting, designing, and implementing Cybersecurity systems, solutions, and tools in federal organizations
  • Experience with managing project funds and resources for federal government agencies
  • Experience with managing complex multitask contracts in a dynamic environment, including implementation and operation of mission critical systems against cost, schedule, scope, and quality metrics
  • Experience with delivering solutions for threat intelligence, Cyber analytics, incident response, and Cyber operations
  • Experience with leading large project teams of 35-plus staff inclusive of front-line managers
  • Experience with developing and promoting staff to higher levels of responsibility and ensuring career progression
  • Ability to work with senior leaders and executives to foster positive client relationships
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with innovative Cybersecurity products and capabilities, including automation and orchestration, AI or machine learning, and Big Data
  • Experience with transitioning Cyber operations programs from other service providers
  • Experience with defining the need and sourcing and implementing managed security services
  • Experience with leading research, analysis, and product selection for the implementation of leading Cybersecurity tools and solutions
  • Experience with the business development life cycle and solution selling methodologies, including navigating Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and non-FAR based client organizations, acquisition contracts, and agreements
  • Experience in leading complex technical project delivery with large government or commercial clients in a fast-paced environment, including leading complex Cybersecurity capability design and implementation projects
  • Experience with growing revenue through client relationship building, shaping client needs, and successful task order proposals in a Cybersecurity context
  • Ability to execute on all phases of a large, multi-year program, including strategic planning, teaming, risk management, cost forecasting, and schedule management
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships with large and small businesses in the federal and commercial Cyber market, including teaming contacts
  • Ability to form and guide high performance teams
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA or BS degree a technical or management field preferred; MA or MS degree in a technical or management field a plus
  • Program Management Certifications, including PMP
  • Information Security Certifications, including CISM or CISSP
