Sr. Learning Management Systems Administrator

The Sr. Learning Management Systems Administrator position conducts research, analysis, configuration, testing, validation, documentation, and implementation of learning modules and reporting for the enterprise-wide learning management system. Working with our internal team and clients, this position will support and leverage best practice technology solutions to continually upgrade and improve the learning management system. This position will provide ongoing technical knowledge and consultation on the LMS, create learning modules, upgrades, content configuration and development, and reporting/analytics. This role will also act as an internal consultant to other business units and senior management to respond to questions on module functionality, as well, troubleshoot system-related issues, process consultation and provide ad-hoc reporting support.

Job Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge and advises on usage of learning technologies (including learning management systems), desktop technical environment, authoring tools, and interfaces
Leads learning deployment activities using the enterprise learning management system
Defines technical standards and best practices
Provides agile responses to customer reporting and analytical needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of learning methodologies to analyze, recommend, design and develop learning solutions and technology strategies to address performance, skill, and knowledge gaps and drive technical capabilities.
Implements and maintains a validated learning management system in compliance with company policies and procedures through governance and adherence
Conducts system audits, and creates documentation of Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions
Guides and supports LMS administrators, content owners and other users to analyze and resolve problems. Provides training strategy consultation, designs and develops learning solutions and communications, outlines remediation plans and conducts functional testing of courses
Serves as the business liaison and manages external vendors to ensure outsourced programs/products meet internal requirements and objectives.
Collaborates with peers and clients to cultivate a best in class learning environment and infrastructure
Stays abreast of learning technologies and tools including mobile devices, virtual classrooms, portals, gamification and performance support to establish enterprise best practices
Apply knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design processes and procedures

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
6+ years of experience in related field, such as Training, Technology, Instructional Design required
6+ years of HR system projects or program management experience including configuring and maintaining the learning management system through multiple business cycles.
Experience working in HR environment
Thought Industries learning management system experience, preferred

Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Windows based PC system, a range of software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with online learning and web-based applications
Proficiency in research, analysis and reporting methods;
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
Must have experience designing pages and widgets
Ability to work autonomously and utilize a broad level of independent judgment
