Tetra Tech is seeking an Information Management Specialist to work in our Sterling, VA office.

The selected candidate will provide a wide range of support for the development or modification and maintenance of both new and legacy data management systems, websites, and online tools. The position will support multiple project teams under government contracts by leveraging different systems and tools to carry out project objectives, such as targeted outreach/communications, information exchange, training, and other program needs. The successful candidate will support an experienced data management/web development team in developing new and maintaining existing websites by designing or adding functionality such as menus, web forms, and contributing to web based content through content management systems like DotNetNuke (DNN) or Drupal. Candidates should have some prior experience developing or managing websites (e.g., HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, WordPress, JavaScript, jQuery), and a willingness to learn other software such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, VBA, SQL, and ColdFusion. The successful candidate will also support the maintenance, updating, and querying of existing customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce. The position also will support experienced online training experts and the candidate must be willing to learn software tools such as Articulate Storyline, Lectora, and Visual Studio. The candidate must be a strong team player, and willing to research and ask questions to learn new techniques - willingness to learn new skills is a must.


Five or more years of experience with a strong preference for consulting experience to the government.
Web design and coding experience using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and other tools.
Website programming experience using server-side scripting tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Adobe ColdFusion.
Experience developing mobile-friendly websites and applications.
Experience with content management systems such as Drupal.
Experience with rapid prototyping tools like Bootstrap is desirable.
Experience with DreamWeaver or similar HTML editor is preferable.
Experience with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce and Joomla.
Experience developing training content for eLearning systems and other web-based applications.
Experience with learning management systems such as SkillSoft and Moodle.
Experience developing SharePoint sites, including those used to process data.
Graphic design skills and familiarity with multiple software tools, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Ability to share and collaborate with a small team of developers as well as subject matter experts and outreach specialists.
Experience creating testing plans, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and developing solutions.
Good client communication skills, including the ability to lead brainstorming, requirements gathering, and design discussions and meetings; ability to transform client requests into practical solutions.
Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements and experience developing accessible websites.
Candidates will be asked to provide examples of websites they have built. Static websites are acceptable, but dynamic (data-driven content, forms, interactive design elements) are desirable.
Candidate must be fluent in English and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must be able to manage time well and work on multiple tasks as part of larger project teams.
Candidate should be self-motivated and able to take directions and work independently.
Consistently strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through required.
Strong interpersonal skills, energy, and an enthusiastic collaborator.
Ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced environment.
B.S. or B.A. in Computer Programming or similar degree, or a degree in a relevant field with coursework in database and/or web-based programming and communications. Candidate must be able to sit or stand at a desk/computer in an office environment for office-based tasks. Must have a reliable means of transportation to commute to the Sterling, VA office.
