United Concrete Products, Inc.’s Building Group in Wallingford, Ct. is currently seeking anAssistant Project Manager to join our team. The desired candidate will have experience in construction management with one (1) to three (3) years of progressive responsibility supporting a Project Management team. Candidates will have good analytical, communication, and computer skills and will operate with the highest ethical standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Building Project Manager
- Responsible for reviewing project documents, plans and specifications complete.
- Verifying materials incoming for projects and obtaining critical lead-times for customers.
- Monitor production in shop team to verify work is per design and of the highest quality.
- Highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask in order to meet deadlines.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to project schedule.
Qualifications:
- One (1) to three (3) years in project management of commercial project.
- Construction Management degree or related field preferred (not required)
- Comfortable reading and understanding construction drawings.
- Strong drive, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal, problem solving, and written communication skills, speaks clearly and persuasively, listens to employees and addresses issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Quick Books Enterprise experience a plus but not required)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate groups of skilled professionals who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
