Full Job Description
The Graphic Designer/ Illustrator will assist the Marketing Communications, Product Management Team and the general business enterprise with a wide variety of design related and project management tasks, including graphic design support, archive/ file organization, support of user instructions and training presentations required by the business. The position will help develop creative ideas and concepts, selecting the appropriate media and style in order to meet the strategic and tactical objectives of the marketing and product management teams.
Create & design illustrations to support technical documentation for first responders, law enforcement and military related programs and market segments
Proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop are required.
Be able to conceptualize, draft, design and produce a variety of marketing communication deliverables including print and electronic brochures, fliers, presentations, event- related marketing materials and fact sheets.
Attention to detail is a must.
Must be a self-starter, team orientated and able to interact with engineering and other technical teams to prepare technical documentation and support material as required.
Excellent visualization skills, strong attention to detail, and good communicator are required.
Strong team player.
Ability to take images from CAD/SolidWorks or other programs and convert to more user-friendly illustrations for user manuals.
Be able to develop concepts, graphics and layouts for digital media requirements.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
Track multiple projects as assigned through the creative process
Self-directed highly organized professional with the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to track projects independently and raise issues as appropriate to ensure on-time delivery of materials and assignments in dynamic product development environment.
Collaborate with other technical illustrators, information and graphic designers, writers and an editor within the department to create illustrations and graphics as assigned.
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Background & Skill:
The Candidate should have a minimum two year experience in graphic design within a cross-functional team environment and demonstrated success working with technical groups including but not limited to engineering, approval/certifications and quality
