Job Summary
In this position, you are responsible for pick up, transport, and delivery of parts and sundries to the company
offices, warehouses, airport and/or vessels. This position will use a computer as needed for purchasing
research and conducting company business. You will also be responsible for the cleaniness and maintenance of
the company van.

This is a full-time, year-round position based at the company headquarters and nearby warehouses in Seattle,
WA. The Purchasing Expeditor reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Essential Duties

 Pick up Will Call orders placed by Purchasing Department.

 Transport shipments to vessels, barge and air freight carriers.

 Make occasional purchases based upon a shopping list provided by the Purchasing Department.

 Assist the Warehouse Manager with organization and cleanliness of UnCruise warehouse spaces.

 Use a computer to assist in research for purchasing, and conducting company business, as needed

Safety & Security

 Follow company safety policies and procedures and request guidance when necessary.

 Participate in shore side training as required by the company.

 Promote a safe working environment and use tools and machinery in a safe manner.


 Must be a self-starter, able to work with little supervision and handle multiple tasks.

 Must be a strong communicator in order to facilitate the acquisition of goods for the company in a
timely manner. This includes answering phone calls, e-mails, and text messages in a quick and safe
manner while away from the office.

 Able to make effective and efficient decisions regarding the route for the day, as well as make
acceptable substitutions for like-items and/or quantities when necessary.

 Prioritization of responsibilities and adaptability is crucial in this position. You must be able to take
care of priority or emergency items right away, as they come up, even if it diverges from the initial plan
for the day.

 A team focused mentality is essential. You must always be willing to help out when and where needed.

 Experience operating forklifts is preferred, but not required.

 Must have access to smart phone capabilities.

 Comfortable working on a computer for email and internet research purposes.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations:

 Valid WA state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

 Forklift Driver Certification preferred.

Work Schedule
Normal working hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This includes a thirty minute
unpaid lunch break, and two paid, self-managed 15 minute breaks (one during the morning, and one during
the afternoon). Occasional work may be required outside these normal times as directed by your supervisor,
particularly during the Spring and Fall Shipyard periods when boats are “Starting Up” or “Shutting Down.”

Physical Demands
This position will be physically demanding. Bending, climbing, repetitive motion, and heavy lifting of loads up
to 75 pounds or more are often required while picking up and delivering parts to the ship, pier side, or to
shipping companies for transport. You will oftentimes be loading and unloading the company van without

Company Vehicle
In this position, you will have full access to the company van for work use only and will be responsible for
maintaining the company vehicle, including washing the exterior consistently, and keeping the interior clean
and organized. You will also be responsible for taking the van in for service as directed by the Purchasing
