The individual in this position will be reporting to a Senior Manager, Ingredients in charge of the Commodity Ingredients portfolio. The estimated spend for the buyer’s area of responsibility is $120MM. The position will have strong linkage to the Global Category lead and Commodity Risk Management team.
Lead and facilitate the NA strategic sourcing process for the Oils and Processed Grains category including market and industry analysis, supplier research and review, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing events, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation
Ensure the most optimal terms and conditions for Kraft Heinz while never compromising service or quality
Category strategy development and ongoing category management to ensure the most effective supply base design with strong alignment with the business units, Commodity Risk Management, R&D and Quality organizations
Delivery of specific productivity(PI and VE initiatives) and cash flow targets in alignment with overarching goals and objectives
Work closely with the financial planning team for budget setting and forecasting activities
Effectively articulate various perspectives and impacts of issues and projects them into the future. Able to see all sides and the inherent value to stakeholders.
Establish trust and build effective business relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders for short and long term partnership
Interface with senior leadership including business unit presidents, brand teams, and global category leaders
Minimum Bachelor's degree required with minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement
Commodity & Risk Management experience is highly regarded
Very organized with a strong ability to multitask projects at varying levels of complexity
Strong analytical, planning, prioritization and execution skills
Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change
Strong understanding of Excel and in developing presentations
Can be forceful and direct as well as diplomatic.
Strong written, verbal, and listening skills
