The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Chief Architect for the NA Telecommunications (Telco) team to join us. In this role, you will serve as an evangelist in the region by sharing a vision for Red Hat's multi-offering solutions, positioning Red Hat as an innovator and spreading awareness of our emerging technologies. You'll partner with the Sales Management team to provide additional support to the Sales team when an opportunity requires extra attention to key accounts. You'll also be responsible for generating new leads by using social media and by speaking at target conferences. As a Chief Architect, you will focus on solutions including automation, DevOps, and advanced application development concepts. You'll also focus on industry alignment to telco, media, and entertainment based on their specific needs. This position can sit anywhere in Canada or the U.S. with at least 50% of travel. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities:
Engage with Red Hat's field associates, customers, and partners to explain our technology vision in a way that helps build commitment and promotes the adoption of our solutions
Explain how specific Red Hat solutions and our offering roadmap align with our overall technology vision
Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing team to create customer messaging and help provide insight on where Red Hat can provide meaningful business value
Build relationships with Red Hat's customer and partner C-level executives that result in deeper loyalty to Red Hat and broader adoption of our solutions
Communicate with our partners and customers in a variety of ways including Red Hat-sponsored events, press and analyst engagements, sales meetings, and social media
Play an active leadership role as a member of Red Hat's field technical community
Engage with our Product Engineering teams to help promote the roadmap and innovate based on customer insight and feedback and your personal experience
Work with regional sales leaders to help evolve the go-to-market strategy for the region
10+ years of enterprise computing experience including an understanding of common enterprise computing issues and Red Hat's ability to provide solutions in these areas
Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to meet with and present to C-level executives
Ability to understand and effectively communicate the value of Red Hat's solutions portfolio across technology and solutions spaces including platform, middleware, cloud and virtualization, and services
Demonstrated ability to learn and educate others on rapidly changing technology and strategies and to maintain a broad skillset in common enterprise IT technologies as well as experience with telco, media, and entertainment
This position can sit anywhere in Canada or U.S. and it will involve 50%+ travel.
