The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Warehouse Manager for the Southern Territory Divisional Headquarters, located in Savannah, GA .

Job Summary
Open and close of warehouse daily; supervises and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse; ensures that all donated items are
processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; receives, sorts and stores donated items in the warehouse storage area; determines the acceptability of donated items based on established standards; controls and supervises bailing of ragged material.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of effective and efficient warehouse operations; Ability to lead, motivate and evaluate the work of residents and community service workers; Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with donors and staff; Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to use/operate hand tools, forklift, pallet jack, cleaning products and computer.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred; Three (3) years’ experience performing warehouse work with at least six (6) months experience in a supervisory capacity; Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements; Ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy objects (50 – 100 lbs). Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building;
