Travel Equity Partners is currently offering an inbound business development internship and is seeking a motivated, adaptable, and entrepreneurial-spirited individual who will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences.

As an Inbound Business Development Intern, you are the brand champion to our customers, by educating on our products, building customer connections, and providing excellent customer service with each interaction. Requirements:

  • Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer experience and conversational skills.
  • Possess the ability to identify and overcome customer objections.

  • Basic knowledge of web-based productivity applications.
  • Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years’ experience in a customer facing environment preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through a natural conversation style.
  • Must be able to educate on all products and services that result in customer sales and retention.
  • Navigate systems, procedures, and other resources to provide accurate and timely resolution to customer inquiries.
  • Meet and exceed performance metrics, customer satisfaction, sales goals, and service level goals.
  • Provide follow up as needed on customer inquiries to ensure resolution satisfies our customers and meets all internal expectations.
  • Conducts proactive consultative analysis to identify and act upon opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell customers.
  • Demonstrates full understanding of current marketing programs and offerings; communicate clearly to the customers to assist them in making an informed decision.
  • Achieves all customer experience and sales standards set for the team by following the established policies and procedures.

About Travel Equity Partners' Internship Program
The Travel Equity Partners' internship program gives a group of undergraduate students and eligible graduate students first-hand experience of the world of travel. Throughout the program, you'll receive consistent coaching and support from a member of senior leadership assigned to you to help guide you during your internship.

We recognize that each intern brings unique skills and insight. The internship is structured to enhance both the interests of the intern and the needs of the organization. Most of our interns use their experience at Travel Equity Partners to start their career in business or marketing or to improve their chances of gaining acceptance into advanced educational programs.

Q: What internships do you offer?
A: We currently offer business development, business analyst, and marketing internships throughout the spring, summer, and fall sessions.
Q: What is the interview process like?
A: The interview process at Travel Equity Partners focuses on getting to know the applicants and deciding who would best integrate into the culture and work. Our interview process includes:

  • Travel Equity Partners team reviews submitted online applications
  • Round 1: Online Video Interviews with predetermined questions answered by applicants
  • Round 2: Group Interviews at the Travel Equity Partners office
  • Interns selected

Q: Are your internships paid?
A: Yes! Interns are compensated $12 an hour.
Q: What are the pay periods for interns?
A: All employees are paid via direct deposit every other Friday for the previous 2-week work period.
Q: What is the time commitment for the internship?
A: Our internships are typically 3-4 months long with the intern working 10-37.5 hours per week based on their schedule and our availability.
Q: Who is eligible for the internship program at Travel Equity Partners?
A: College students or recent graduates are welcome to apply, preferably with related coursework or experience.
Q: Does every applicant get an interview?
A: No, there is a first cut based on application question answers and LinkedIn profile.
Q: How many interns are chosen?
A: Usually, there are 4-5 interns per term, depending on demand.
Q: What is the video interview like?
A: The chosen applicants will be contacted by email to schedule a first-round video interview with the hiring manager. Each applicant will be given the same set of questions beforehand to prepare answers. During the interview, the applicant will share their answers with the hiring manager.
Q: What is the group interview like?
A: After the video interview, a second-round group interview is conducted. Chosen applicants will come to the office two or more at a time for a roundtable interview with the leadership team. This is an opportunity for the team to meet you and for you to see and get to know the company.
