The Kitchen position prepares, measures, weighs and tests wet ingredients to be utilized in the formulation of products.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Prepare and weigh raw ingredients for Mixers
Transfer raw ingredients to the mix deck
Utilize data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability
Maintain clean kitchen area
Assist formulation crew in daily formulation of products
Check quality of raw ingredients with Quality Assurance to determine if product quality is questionable
Takes samples; titrations and viscosity
Switch processors, and pump airlines, buttermilk tanks and mill
Read daily production reports to determine formulation needs
Participate with changeovers
Operate an electric pallet jack
Ensure correct entries into factory software
Ensure products produced are meeting or exceeding customer requirements
Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required to Perform Work:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience. and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and write correspondence basic correspondence.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to gain an electric pallet jack license.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to multi-task, working in fast-paced environment
