This position serves as supervisor of the uniformed patrol division of the Police & Public Safety Department, supervising 2 Lietuenants and overseeing 4 squads. Squads will be group by 2 and supervised by a Lietuenant. Each squad will consist of a corporal (squad leader) and 4 patrol officers (Police Officer I) for a total of 23 sworn law enforcement personnel in the patrol division

The Department of Police & Public Safety provides law enforcement, traffic and parking, and health and safety services for the WSSU campus

Minimum Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of law enforcement experience. Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission or the ability to achieve certification within one year of employment.
