Description & Requirements
This is a Research and Development (R&D) role leading the value engineering project pipeline & strategies across the Kids- Snacking and Beverage Business Unit. This candidate should have a proven record of developing and executing work plans and driving for results in a variety of challenging and complex settings. The candidate will be an R&D leader for technical projects to meet business initiatives focused on value engineering. This role is responsible for partnering with the procurement and operations organization early in the process to help define successful projects. Proven communication and teamwork skills are essential in this role- which operates in a dynamic and cross-functional environment. This position requires an individual to manage multiple assignments/ tasks concurrently with a high degree of autonomy.
- Work directly with the cross-functional team- plants- and vendors as the R&D project leader to drive execution across multiple product- packaging and processing value engineering projects.
- Partner with Procurement- R&D- Marketing and Operations to develop a value engineering strategy that complements the overall Platform and business strategies
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking of project pipeline from development to implementation.
- Collaborates with operations to optimize processes and production for existing items.
BS/MS Food Science- Chemical Engineer- or related field
5 years of experience in food product or packaging development preferred
Strong communication with ability to interact cross-functionally with all levels of the internal organization.
Ability to inspire team to drive results.
Excellent problem solving and decisions making skills.
Travel approximately 25% of time
