The Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) team is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to work on our Travel Agent Portal. TAAP is a rapidly growing program with 30+% YoY growth for the past 5 years and does more than Billion-dollar business. As a TAAP team member, you will get exposure to the code base that supports Multiple Lines of businesses including Hotels, Flights, Cars etc. and common infrastructure components used across Expedia.

We are pioneers, as one of the first teams to move to the Cloud back in 2010. Our codebase is wide and dynamic. We pride ourselves in our ability to adapt to multiple codebases and architectures while maintaining a scalable and resilient feature set. For our own system, our services and technologies include: T-SQL, .NET MVC, Akka & Akka.NET, Backbone JS, React JS, Scala, Java, C#, Javascript, and various AWS technologies.

You will utilize your critical thinking and technical skills to help directly drive our success. We are on track to doubling this business soon, are you going to be a part of it?

What you’ll do:
You will contribute to the main Expedia codebase
You possess a keen eye for the operational aspects of the platform such as deployment, performance tuning and monitoring
You will ensure TAAP features are safe and secure so our customers can use the site with confidence
You will resolve problems reported from live site
You will maintain and improve our many microservices
You will create TAAP features from the ground up starting with Database to REST API to Webserver and finally the UI layer

Who you are:You’ll fit this role if you have:
2-3 years of web development experience
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages Java/Scala/C#/
Working knowledge of UI technology: HTML / CSS / JavaScript
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery principles
Experience working with Automation frameworks
Able to work closely with and incorporate feedback from other engineers and product owner
Bonus - understanding of SQL and/or AWS offerings
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree
