Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repairs for our customers. This position offers the opportunity to work independently and interact directly with clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to dealer network and retail customers
- Troubleshoot/repair components, parts and systems for both power and sail products
- At all times, ensure that company policies regarding customer service are followed
- Interact with dealers/customers providing guidance and technical support.
- Coordinate general customer service repairs with boatyards 6. Perform administrative duties to include trip summary and expense reports.
- Ability to deescalate difficult situations with the customers for the best of all parties involved
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of boating industry including ABYC, ISO & USCG regulations/standards
- Technical knowledge and ability to repair/spray gelcoat, non-skid and fiberglass
- Technical knowledge and ability to paint/repair woodwork * Technical knowledge and ability to replace bonded windows/portholes
- Knowledge of personal computers and computer software programs
- Strong interpersonal skills communicate with employees, dealer personnel and customers
Requirements
- Must possess current driver's license with a good driving record
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Willingness to travel sometimes with short notice.
- Must be able to pay for your own travel expenses up front and be reimbursed by the company.
Additional Skills/Qualifications (not mandatory but a plus to have)
- ABYC Electrical certification
- Current holder of TWIC card
- Boat handling skills and/or captains’ license
- Can speak French

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
