Openings are available in a variety of units for full time (36 hours a week/ 3-12 hour shifts, rotating Days/Nights every 6 Weeks) part-time (20/24 hours week), or PRN Nursing positions.
RN openings within our ICU, SICU, Step-Down, Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Telemetry, and Float Pool. We have additional needs including: Assistant Nurse Manager & Nurse Educator positions.
Position Summary/Essential Duties: Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:
1. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
2. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
3. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.

Assistant Nurse Manager:Position Summary/Essential Duties:
To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families. Essential duties include:
1.Direct patient care/ assessment/Relationship Based Care
3.Staff education/staff development
4.Discharge planning, community resource referrals and education
6.Committee and Community involvement
7.Scheduling staff to maximize coverage within budget resources.
8.Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers
RN Position Requirements:
One (1) year RN experience required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
Nurses with Associates Degree/Diploma will commit at the time of hire to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSN) or higher in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
CPR certified in 90 days.
Full-Time: University Hospitals is offering a $6,000 sign on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for designated regular full-time RN positions to experienced RN’s (2 years or more) hired externally.
This is a FT 36 hrs a week position, rotating Day/Nights (every 6 weeks), rotating weekends and holidays.
Assistant Nurse Manager:
Meets qualification of ACN with (3-5 years experience) progressive clinical and management experience in nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited program required
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification:
Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio. Certification within 1 year.
