Department of Commerce/Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR)/Division of Parks & Recreation/Pipestem Resort State Park/Summers Co. - Under general supervision of the Food Service Manager and Superintendent, this employee acts as the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, in the direction and organization of the Food and Beverage Department at Pipestem Resort State Park to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning the department to meet the daily needs of operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage, and labor cost. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Ensures high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits and ensure an outstanding experience. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, mentors, and schedules staff. Must have the ability to lead and manage skilled and unskilled staff of individuals; ensures a strong, consistent culture while building a level of trust for independent decision making. Regular attendance is required. Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Two years of full-time or part-time equivalent paid experience in travel promotion or marketing, with a travel agency; arts/crafts marketing; business/industry marketing; hotel management; recreation/natural resource marketing; or related travel or marketing business.
Note: One year of the required experience will be waived if the four-year degree is in tourism, marketing, or hotel management.
