The Senior Manager, Product Development leads a team of product managers accountable for driving the adoption, engagement and expansion of the MINDBODY Network, an innovated marketing solution that leverages MINDBODY’s consumer network and partners to help businesses attract loyal clients. The primary focus of this position is to drive alignment and implementation of the individual product strategy with MINDBODY’s long-term company goals across the product managers team, internal functions, and potentially multiple product lines. This role is responsible long-term strategic planning, cross-product initiatives and market validation of new products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree or MBA
8+ years’ experience in product management delivering highly successful and innovative products
Proven track record of successfully managing and releasing complex SaaS products
2+ years’ experience managing product managers
Possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, the drive to make that vision a reality, and technically credibility to lead teams of world-class software developers
Focused on building businesses, not features: Entrepreneurial experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics.
Embodies customer centric product management and teaches team to savor customer understanding to drive insight.
Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills both written and oral. Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with Senior Leaders and Executives and inspiring teams.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and gain the cooperation necessary across the organization to successfully deliver to schedules/deadlines
Ability to develop a well-conceived and carefully constructed requirements and application definition and teach the skill to your product managers.
Experience working with customers to ensure new products and releases exceed their expectations
Experience presenting to customers, analysts and press, industry groups on a regular basis to promote the business plan and build awareness
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the MINDBODY Network product team within MINDBODY, including overall metrics, business impact, product vision and roadmap.
Conducts market validation activities, such as customer prospect interviews and market analysis as part of new product or feature planning; validates product plans against research results and makes in-depth strategic recommendations based on seasoned judgment.
Formulates complex business plans, analyze the current competitive landscape, and put together a strategic product roadmap and pitch to the senior leaders in the company.
Develops product portfolio strategy and roadmap to cascade objectives and KPIs to your product management team
Hires and develops a team of Product Managers into strong leaders and helps your product managers craft their objectives, KPIs and roadmaps.
Conducts focused market and customer research regarding product acceptance, usage and success and works with product managers to integrate results directly into the product strategy
Guides the Research and Development teams in understanding overall product strategy as it applies to multiple product lines
Cultivates a deep understanding of the customer and work tirelessly to identify new opportunities to improve our experience
Leads your product team in the MINDBODY product process. Involved from conception to release for all major and minor launches, with emphasis on interactions within the Development department.
Works with cross-functional teams to figure out the best way to win in the delivery game and you will be relentless in executing on it.

Drives and influences adoption of product management best practices throughout the product management and development teams
Drives and owns the product requirements process across multiple related product lines while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to prioritize and validate technology, features, product direction and strategy; drives strategic initiatives to place decision making close to the customer, using feedback to inform tactical and strategic decisions; drives cross-team analysis and sharing of data
Applies a deep and broad understanding of the health, wellness and beauty landscape and identifies key areas of competitive difference, as well as looks toward future disruptive opportunities
Acts as the product expert within the organization for assigned product lines
Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently
