Border International is a Navistar Truck and Great Dane Trailer Dealer group in Las Cruces, NM, El Paso, Tx and Laredo, Tx. We also have multiple Michelin Tire Dealerships in Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.

Our parent company is Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT) which is one of the top 100 for hire carriers in the US.

We are currently looking for Truck Technicians and a few Trailer Technicians. We are looking for men and women that have experience and expertise in Truck Repairs and Automotive Diesel Repair. Don’t sell yourself short, if you have been working in an Automotive Dealership or location and want to make the move to Class 8 and medium duty truck repairs, you have the basis for what we need. The parts are just bigger.

We are looking for professional Technicians from both the heavy duty and light duty industry and must have experience in one or both. We need A level, B level and some C level Technicians.

Job Requirements

-Familiar with vehicle repairs. Best if certified or trained in Navistar, Cummins, Eaton, Allison, Ford Diesel, GM Diesel, Gas engine repair, Drive Train repair, brake repair, A/C repair and any other truck or automotive repairs.

-Possess a current CDL license is a plus but not mandatory.

-Must have own technician tools.

Border International is very strong on training. We have our own internal trainers that work with ALL Technicians to keep them current in all areas. We want you to get all the training you can handle!!

-Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

-Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.

-Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

-Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

-Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

-Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
