The position of Information Technology Manager provides support and working knowledge for all end users of the network infrastructure. The IT Manager also handles the maintenance and upgrades to the network server and the IQMS database server. Other purposes of this position are to handle help tickets submitted by end users and to also ensure smooth operation of the wired and wireless network traffic. Must actively evaluate the network infrastructure and system software and provide plans to improve and update.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Network Users and Active Directories
  • Meet with new employees and review the password and computer use policies. Provide new personnel with guidance in selecting passwords, the process for changing computer account passwords
  • Maintain server change logs (includes server upgrades and server changes)
  • Maintain personnel records (includes new users and account access changes)
  • Set up new employees in computer system
  • Follow documentation for employee deactivation and account removal
  • Organize and distribute documents to users to aid in the completion of tasks (documentation for new processes or for new equipment) * IQMS Manufacturing ERP Software and Crystal Reports
  • Prioritize the backlog of report requests
  • Maintain the IQMS server as well as any dependent servers for the system
  • Perform any security allocation to users and dependent servers
  • Perform IQMS server patches and upgrades
  • Research and advise to management on the process and need of moving to our next version of the IQMS software
  • Actively take part in the evaluation of the new features and fixes in future versions of the IQMS software
  • Work with end users to create and modify IQMS reports available

  • Configure phones to be deployed
  • Update and maintain phone directory listings
  • Maintain the phone server(s) and equipment
  • Plan for and implement network improvements
  • Identify network or hardware shortfalls and develop a working plan to improve
  • Monitor and perform daily network server and IQMS database backups
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Participate in annual budget planning and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner
  • Configure and roll out new network hardware such as network printers, scanners and PCs
  • Configure and support the facility telecommunication systems

  • Work with hardware and software vendors to implement the proper solutions for the end users
  • Work with any 3rd party contractors on network issues and or network improvements
  • Maintain safe and clean working area
  • Answer incoming help ticket submissions in a timely manner and provide resolution feedback to the ticket creator
  • Prioritize the workload to lead to speedy resolution of IT issues and help ticket submissions
  • Assist employees with questions about anything IT (be a knowledge base for the end users)

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Required Experience: Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field or 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3-5 years work experience in computer support
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Extensive experience administering and managing IQMS servers and dependent servers and systems
  • Preferred experience with Crystal Reports for creation and modification of IQMS reports and product labels
  • Proficient in relevant computer software (Office software as well as Server and PC operating systems)
  • Must be organized and can prioritize tasks as needed
  • Must be detail oriented and accurate
  • Must be able to maintain integrity and confidentiality levels for sensitive matters, including, but not limited to, sensitive data exposure and employee status
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and oral
  • Provide coaching skills to employees and maintain a team environment
  • Must be able to interact favorably with other departments within company
  • Must have the ability to work independently
