Construction Project Manager

NELCO Worldwide is currently seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager (PM), primarily responsible for taking a project from the time it is estimated and acquired through construction to close-out and final billing within budget, on schedule and satisfying the customer. The PM creates the organizational structure for the project itself and acts as the higher authority for decision-making and as the center for project administration. The PM must provide all documentation and information to transition the project from the pre-construction to construction phase and provide continuous management support through the completion of the project. In addition, the PM must maintain accounting functions with respect to job cost and cash flow; integrate their summaries with corporate finance; maintain positive client relationships; and communicate complete information to teams in the field and to management.
Analyzes projects to determine scope, schedule requirements, and coordinate purchasing and installation to effectively bring project within budget and on schedule
Reviews and establishes priorities with Project Executive
Negotiates on C.O. Schedule changes and pursues to resolution all vendor contracts
Verifies job readiness and coordinates installation of materials to allow installation to progress in an orderly and timely fashion
Exerts a positive effect on the profitability of the installation
Participates with other Division personnel in establishing, setting, and attaining goals for the Division to develop new methods, techniques, systems, and ideas to improve the performance of the Company
Qualifications and Skills:
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager required; experience in a commercial and/or medical facilities setting preferred
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Construction Management preferred
Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License preferred
Public work experience a plus
Ability to work collaboratively with strong leadership, management and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with owners & architects
Cost control forecasting and reporting experience
Understanding of contract language and ability to define scopes of work
Understanding of typical industry protocols including RFI Process, PCO
Process, daily logs, and associated safety documentation
Willingness to travel from project to project
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
