Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO)
The primary purpose of this position is to provide automated logistics sustainment information systems support to Army Reserve activities and organizations and provide technical/functional support and oversight regarding the implementation of sustainment information systems, Automated Logistical Programs and other Combat Service Support (CSS) systems within the supported command. Utilizes an extensive knowledge of logistics programs/operations and a clear understanding of automated systems to manage projects and programs for systems integration of logistics automation. Ensures software/interim change packages (SCP/ICP) are applied in proper order. Assists functional users in automated CSS systems management and operation. Serves as a Systems Administrator for all CSS sustainment information systems and automated logistical programs and as a technical expert within the supported command, is responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for specified sustainment information systems and Automated Logistical Programs to operators and supervisors. Provides input to supervisor to ensure SASMO (Sustainment Automation Support Management Office) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current. Receives trouble tickets and reviews priorities on a weekly and/or monthly basis. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves technical problems identified in trouble tickets and performs initial setup of specified sustainment operations systems computers to include loading software, configuring modem and network card(s), assigning Internet Protocol (IP) addresses with correct subnet, connectivity to the network, and completing technical inspections. Provides operator level assistance on logistic information systems and Automated Logistical Programs. Troubleshoots logistics information systems and Automated Logistical Programs.
Qualifications and Skills
Education/Certification(s): AS in Business, Computer Information Systems, Logistics, or related field (preferred), IAT Level I Certified (required).
Experience/Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years experience providing technical and functional Tier I helpdesk support to SIS users (Sustainment Automation Support Management Office), workstations, and applications, SECRET Clearance (required).
