Accountable for defining and implementing the Cybersecurity strategy across all products in Renal Care. Provide leadership, strategic guidance to the Cybersecurity Software Team in Renal Care and across GBUs to architect, design and develop the software security features for multiple products and platforms. Responsible for mentoring, coaching, developing, and hiring product cybersecurity software resources across all GBUs globally. Will be sought out for domain knowledge, expertise and mentoring ability
Responsible for all deliverables associated with the internal and external Cybersecurity procedures and standards. Define and implementing a strategy for the monitoring and maintenance of on-market products.
Mentor and lead Product Development Software Cybersecurity resources and work with a cross-functional team to develop requirements, architecture, design, implementation and maintenance of Medical Security Software in Embedded, Mobile and Cloud applications.
Direct the team on the development of cybersecurity maintenance process of various products. Be the SME in Product Cybersecurity representing Baxter in front of regulators and standards committee
Manage collaboration with Systems, Electrical, Software Systems, Software Test and Automation, Quality, Regulatory and Manufacturing teams to ensure that all cybersecurity activities and deliverables are completed on time and in accordance Baxter’s product development process and global regulatory requirements.
Use Cybersecurity frameworks to standardize cyber security function for their development and delivery.
Work with external resources to plan and execute Security Activities (like Penetration Testing) on various products. Manage relationship with strategic partners in this space to ensure Baxter development process with respect to Cybersecurity, is industry leading, Top Quartile.
Technical Champion in seeing subtleties and complexities with technical issues in Cybersecurity and applies diligence in determining the best pragmatic solution with a credible roadmap to get better in different iterations as needed. Focuses on critical information without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail. Technical leader for the intellectual property cybersecurity initiatives of a business. Holds patents that secure a competitive advantage for our products, assists with freedom to operate assessments, and provides litigation support.
Working knowledge in Operating Systems such as Linux, iOS and Windows.
Knowledge and experience with cryptographic algorithms such as AES-GCM, ECDSA and RSA.
Knowledge in modern software development process and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git and Gerrit.
Prior experience working within the Healthcare Industry is preferred.
Some knowledge in cybersecurity standards such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and FIPS 140-2 is preferred.
Awareness and strong interest in cybersecurity threat modeling/risk assessment methods such as STRIDE and CVSS3.1.
Proficient, concise and articulate verbal and written communication skills to convey cybersecurity risks to a wide range of audiences including customers, business teams, and technical partners.
Some experience or strong interest in IoT (Internet of Things) device development, especially in embedded platform security, device communication protocols, and cryptographic functions.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Education and/or Experience.
Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related engineering discipline and 15+ years of industry experience.
Hands on Experience in IoT device development or IT security.
Experience in testing and implementing security controls for medical devices is strongly preferred.
Experience with US DoD cybersecurity standards and practices is a plus.
Working Knowledge in security protocol stacks such as IPsec, TLS, OAuth, and SAML.
