Palo Alto Networks is looking for entry-level finance professional to join the team as a Financial Analyst, Operations Finance. We are looking for a self-starter and an effective communicator with the ability to grow into an individual with strong analytical skills. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate or soon to be a new graduate.
Based in Santa Clara, this role will initially report to the Senior Manager, Operations Finance and will be part of the Company’s Financial Planning and Analysis team.
Develop an understanding of the World-Wide Operations organization and partner with Finance Business Managers within Operations Finance to align business and financial goals
Assist in quarterly expense forecasting and annual planning process for WW Operations
Assist in Identification and ongoing analysis of excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory along with potential excess liability positions within Supply Chain
Regular monitoring of liability positions with Palo Alto Networks’ contract manufacturers, including analysis and explanation of fluctuations
Perform analysis on warranty and other reserve requirements
Work with Senior Cost Analyst to help maintain standard costs
Assist in gathering and preparation of audit documentation
Assist with physical inventories
Fulfill ad-hoc and regular requests from WW Operations and Corporate Finance
BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
0 – 1 year of Finance, Accounting or Consulting experience
Ability to seamlessly pivot from big picture to details and back
Have proven ability in college on having excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
Willingness to learn
