The Theatrical Ventures & Ticketed Experiences Department is is responsible for developing, managing and producing ticketed events for Broadway, Off-Broadway, National and International Tours, West End, Arena and Convention Centers, Special Attractions, and Festivals.

RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a General Management Intern.
About the role…
Reporting to the Director | Theatrical Ventures & Ticketed Experiences | Casting Services, the General Management Intern will provide management and operational support for projects as well as assisting in the daily operations of the Theatrical Ventures & Ticketed Experiences Department.
The General Management Intern's focused tasks include but are not limited to the following:
Assist with contract drafting, budget review and payroll/bill processing Assist in the preparation of paperwork and resources for production meetings
Assist with pre-screening new script and project submissions
The General Management Intern will also work alongside the Commercial Content Development Intern to assist in the daily operation of the department. Daily tasks may include the following:
Assist with research for new and existing projects, brands and IP
Assist with project proposals and presentations
Provide general support for readings, workshops, and developmental labs
Assist in the cultivation and curation of industry databases
Continually update project contact sheets and general show files with the most up-to-date information as it is received from all sources
Document office procedures and policies as necessary
Provide general scheduling, travel and meeting support from our offices in Long Island City
Assist in the timely and accurate flow of information in/out of the department to all internal and external players
Represent the department at readings/shows
Provide general administrative support as requested

What you bring…
Strong interest/experience in live theatre and entertainment, preferably in theatrical producing, management and/or administration
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office applications on a Mac OS
Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software is desired but not required
Some knowledge and understanding of theatrical unions is preferred
Outgoing personality, outstanding demeanor and ability to remain calm while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Self-starter, positive attitude, loyalty, passion, integrity, discretion
Work five (5) full business days per week
Office hours are 10am-6pm
Stipend and MetroCard or college credit
Starting January 2020
