Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Civil Engineering Co-Op Intern, we'll count on you to:
  • Offer CAD support utilizing AutoCAD and Microstation for civil, site, stormwater and/or erosion control design
  • Support department with general design calculations in addition to general support to the design and construction staff
  • Assist with writing reports based on field investigation
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering program
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Knowledge and interest in civil site design
  • Engineering design and water resources course work
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Prior experience with drafting software AutoCAD or Microstation preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Strong preference given to local candidates.
