The Sr. Account Manager will manage a strategic account in the Midwest, generating more than $20 million in gross sales across value added product lines. In addition, the position is required to maximize sales and profit opportunities, and further develop our collaborations and relationships as a core supplier

Achieve a superior product hit rate, generate major pieces of new business, and consistently exceed sales budget
Solicit qualified product development projects and new ingredient opportunities
Prioritize projects within account and independently manage project activity across seasonings and flavors
Develop and implement strategic and tactical business plans, requiring support across McCormick business groups and may include communication with international business units
Independently implement and develop measures for success against business plan and report progress to customer and McCormick management
Facilitate a high level of communication and business to business relationships across functions
Lead a cross-functional customer team, extend cross functional relationships and manage activities at all levels within Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, and Operations
Manage customer P&L, develop customer pricing strategy to maximize business and profits
Lead and drive customer penetration in innovation and develop customer intimacy
Manage and maximize core flavor relationship
Collaborate with Sales Adminstration and sales support team

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Food Science or a related field
Minimum 7 years sales experience handling national accounts in the food industry or an adjacent industry, with a minimum of 5 years food ingredient sales experience.
Proximity or residency in Minneapolis
High level of technical knowledge in food manufacturing.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience leading and motivating internal functional support roles.
Proven experience in providing project leadership for custom developed solutions to the food and beverage manufacturers industry.
Proven experience developing value-added internal and external business relationships.
Ability to travel up to 20%

Bachelor's Degree in food science
Flavor sales experience
