Definitive Logic is seeking an experienced systems engineer to support the DHS Office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). This role is based in Washington DC by the Navy Yard. The systems engineer will work with the lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities supporting one or more programs. This requires working across multiple systems engineering disciplines including requirements development, logistics and sustainment, risk management, and system and interface design. Successfully filling this role requires interaction with the program office, briefing clients, and interacting with stakeholders.
Must be able to successfully obtain DHS Suitability clearance.
Doctorate degree with 5 years’ experience, Master degree with 5 years’ experience, or Bachelor degree and 10 years’ experience.
At least five years of experience in scientific, engineering, medical, or public health field such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bacteriology, virology, epidemiology, toxicology, immunology, physics, mathematics, or other related disciplines
Experience working within system engineering life cycles
Experience in systems engineering and analysis, requirements development and/or modeling and simulation
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Must have at least 5 years of experience providing direct or consultant scientific support to major programs or system development efforts related to chemical, biological, radiation, or explosive detection.
