This job contributes to Starbucks success by advancing operational excellence in the business operations of the Law & Corporate Affairs (L&CA) department. Designs and develops metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions, and supports improved process design and implementation.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Designs and develops the business process for standard scorecards and reports that provide comprehensive metrics to key stakeholders.
Recommends improvements and provides support for changes in reporting systems and processes to continuously optimize.
Leads testing and business requirements gathering on new enhancements
Responsible for addressing different ad hoc reporting requests from the business users
Partners with technology teams on database and reporting tool development and maintenance
Works in a collaborative capacity with other team members to improve efficiency and drive better business results.
Development and maintenance of scorecards and reports – 5 years
Requirements gathering and business process documentation – 5 years
Application of business structure, data architecture and reporting knowledge to drive recommendations to leaders – 5 years
Project Management – 2 years
Experience working in, or closely with Legal and Corporate Affairs (Security, Resilience, Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy) functions strongly preferred

Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Advanced experience with IBM Cognos or SQL
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
Strong understanding of database & business system architecture
Ability to independently document business process and lead change management capabilities within the organization
Understanding of legal operations analytics concepts (e.g. rate and vendor management) and how these measures are calculated.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to work independently on more complex business problems
Ability to balance multiple priorities, projects and meet deadlines
Strong systems/reporting analytical and problem-solving skills
Strategic business knowledge, with the ability to learn difficult concepts
