DIRECTOR OF SALES
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Sales is responsible for development and execution of omnichannel sales strategy and for delivering against sales goals and EBITDA for all channels including and not limited to retailers and their associated digital accounts, house accounts, distributors and liquidation partners. The Director will also work with cross-functional digital teams to ensure sales and EBITDA goals are met with corporate-owned digital entities (ie: butterLONDON.com) and Amazon.com.
Develop and execute Annual Customer Business Plans: Lead the development and management of annual business plans that meet brand strategies and objectives. Identify, monitor and address specific account needs to achieve company goals with assigned profit, margin, revenue and share.
Reporting and P&L Management: Provide accurate and detailed account reporting and management of account P&Ls. Create and maintain weekly sales reports to analyze performance, identify trends, anticipate risks, and determine opportunities.
Sell-in/Sell Through: Responsible for effective sell-in and sell-through strategies and programs to ensure healthy stock productivity and to hit targeted turns.
Lead and Develop: Lead and manage the internal sales team members involving planning, selling, and managing program implementation.
Manage external groups and distributor activities, including assessment of programs, productivity and sales plans.
SKU Rationalization and Inventory Management: Create the brand seasonal planograms, analyze SKU performance and productivity, manage retailer OTB, aligning with Brand P&L’s. Engage with retail partners to review, refine and develop assortment as needed.
Lead the Team to Provide Customer Forecasts: Ensure the timely and actionable forecasting in collaboration with Demand planning team. Generate accurate sales and product forecasts, create inventory strategies to manage liabilities.
Omni Channel Sales: Work cross-functionally with all sales channels to ensure an effective omni channel operations and maximized sales opportunities.
Generate New Business: Identify and pursue new account and channel opportunities and partnerships.
Account Management: Own the account strategy and sales process for new & existing retail accounts along with distributor agents; maximize sales and ensure proper execution of promotional programs. Lead all financial plans including and not limited to laser focused review of potential chargebacks, markdowns and RTVs. Effectively plan and execute programs focused on retail results. Develop and deliver sales presentations. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. As needed, negotiate contract terms and conditions, pricing, discounts and allowances.
Operations: Manage and oversee sales operations by working directly with the sales operations team. Coordinate and communicate with Distribution Center to maintain flow of orders. Monitor retailer sales, inventory and demand; collaborate with operations team to ensure healthy product pipeline.
