POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of Vice President, Client Relations the Business Analyst (BA) will be the key project stakeholder responsible for the conversion of customer business and technical requirements to functional solutions in association with the implementation and/or continued utilization of Altruista Health solutions. Project types include but are not limited to new client installations; upgrades to existing Altruista Health solutions; consultative services engagements, pre-sales initiatives and product development/release management operations. The BA will act as the primary contact between the client, Altruista Health, and other external partners relative to the project business and technical requirements, responsible for requirements elicitation, modeling, management, communication and traceability to functional solutions. Highly skilled as both a business and functional solution expert, the BA applies professional principles, practices, and techniques, leading both Altruista Health and its partner client team members to eliminate barriers and ensure delivery of solutions through best practice recommendations that positively affect the client business operations.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with customer users and subject matter experts to identify and document customer requirements and processes that support their business goals and objectives, utilizing a combination of industry best practices and Altruista Health standard operating procedures;
Converts business and technical requirements to functional solutions, effectively managing customer expectations relative to the standard Altruista Health solution capabilities; performs gap analysis exercises where applicable;
Maintains role as a functional expert on the Altruista Health solution features;
Partners with Altruista Health Product Management, Development and Quality Assurance staff, when necessary, in conjunction with the development of/enhancement to Altruista Health solution features related to customer-defined requirements and product enhancement requests;
Leads all product troubleshooting and issue management activities for the duration of their assigned projects;
Provides input into the definition and management of project plans;
Support solution testing and documentation activities as needed;
Provides training, internal and external (client), relative to Altruista Health solutions and operational procedures; acts as a mentor to newly hired Altruista Health staff members;
Promotes organizational improvement efforts through the development of/enhancement to standard Altruista Health implementation and/or product development processes, policies and procedures;
Supports the creation of statement of work content, as requested, for assigned projects, ensuring scope, deliverables, assumptions, risks and resource needs are clearly defined;
Effectively engages with decision-maker level contacts in assigned project organizations;
Keeps current on Healthcare Information Technology concepts, trends and industry changes, particularly those related to the care coordination and Medicaid/Medicare/Duals domains; and
Other work related duties as assigned.

Ability to work independently and requires minimal direction in achieving goals, yet also maintains strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – is a team player.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, with at least one (1) year in an external customer facing role preferred;
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or relevant work experience. Master’s Degree Preferred;
Experience working in the healthcare management industry or within a software company providing solutions to healthcare clients a plus; and
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) a plus but NOT required.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/FEDERAL HEALTHCARE PROGRAM EXCLUSION LISTS SCREENING

Candidates for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment background check. All Altruista Health employees are subject to monthly screening to ensure that they have not been excluded from the Federal Healthcare Programs (using the OIG and GSA Exclusion Lists). The Company’s pre-employment background check and OIG/GSA Exclusion Lists screening program is administered in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.

LOCATION/TRAVEL

While this position with Altruista Health is located in Reston, VA, you must be willing to travel to the client location on a regular basis.
