Digital Content Producer - WCAU

NBCUniversal - Bala-Cynwyd, PA (30+ days ago)4.1 is looking for a highly motivated news editor to manage breaking news coverage; report and write exclusive stories; and cover developing stories. The editor must have excellent editing, writing and organizational skills as well as experience in telling stories through videos, photos and multimedia. We tell stories on the Web, mobile apps and via social platform and seek a writer eager and comfortable working on all three.

Job Duties
Create original articles and videos.
Cover breaking news, both by working with reporters and photographers in the field or doing original reporting.
Ensure the voice, tone and mix of content fits with the overall editorial strategy.
Produce the homepage, main pages and subsections for all digital platforms.
Update social media feeds.
Curate a wide-variety of stories from other reliable sources.
Monitor and respond to audience metrics and research.


Basic Qualifications
At least three years’ experience as an editor, reporter or producer at a news organization or blog that creates content under tight deadlines.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Skilled writer.
Excellent interpersonal skills — a diplomat as well as someone who gets the job done.
Able to work early morning, evening and/or weekend hours depending when demanded by news coverage or other editorial responsibilities.
Must have the desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive environment.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
Investigative reporting experience a plus

Working knowledge of digital media technology, particularly content-management tools.
Blogging, wire service, newspaper rewrite or 24-hour cable news background.
Experience producing and editing video.
Experience with a CMS
Experience using Photoshop, FinalCutPro, Adobe Premiere
Experience using Omniture, Charbeat and other analytic tools
