Prepare preliminary and final roadway designs per NCDOT standards. Compile complete highway plans used to acquire land and construct roads. Work with related disciplines such as hydro and structures. Generate cost estimates. Lead, direct and train lower level engineers and drafters. Meet project schedules and budgets. Identify and resolve project problems.
15 years or more roadway design experience preparing preliminary and final highway plans. 15 years’ experience using CADD software Geopak. 10 years’ experience managing highway project schedules and budgets. Prefer NCDOT experience.
Possess working knowledge of the NCDOT highway project development process and AASHTO. Possess excellent CADD software Geopak skills including Corridor Modelor. Possess Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. Able to give and take direction. Excellent problem solver.
Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred BSCE preferred
