Job Description:
Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience. Responsibilities:
Highly experienced Business / Data Analyst that also has Project Management knowledge and is able interface with internal and external teams. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven capability of producing high quality, clear business friendly design specifications that can also be easily interpreted by technology peers. This role also requires hands-on data analysis, minor scripting experience and regular interaction with business users & Executives / Leaders (up to Band 3). Extensive background in financial products is a must. Required Skills:
5+ years’ Experience in business analysis and extensive product knowledge within Global Markets & Communications Surveillance domain.
Experience in business driven projects impacting trading platforms /transaction managers / finance sub-ledgers platforms / regulatory reporting platforms / risk platforms
Extensive experience in playing a key role in complex high volume data processing and migrations within/between systems (Oracle Exadata, Hadoop)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of producing high quality, clear business friendly design specifications that can also be easily interpreted by technology peers
Proficient in SQL for data analysis related activities
Technically Capable – Strong appreciation of how software is designed and developed, tested and released end to end (SDLC) and Agile experience
Knowledge of financial products including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Option, Swaps, FX, Commodities, IPOs and more.

Desired Skills:
Trade and communications surveillance experience
