Octo Consulting group is seeking a polished Front Desk Receptionist to join our Reston office.
Performs daily walk-through of the office to ensure cleanliness of lobby and common areas including the kitchens.
Greets and directs all visitors including vendors, clients, job candidates, and customers.
Receives and distributes faxes, mail, and packages to appropriate personnel.
Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx /UPS).
Monitors inventory and stocks office and break room supplies.
Maintains calendars for conference rooms and resolves any scheduling conflicts.
Performs administrative and office support activities including answering incoming calls and filing.
Facilitates the ordering of corporate business cards.
Responsible for updating and assigning DataWatch key cards for new and existing employees.
Manages inventory and facilitates the ordering of promotional items for new employee onboarding and recruiting events.
Assists consultants with copying and collating work.
Assists in the preparation of presentations and handouts.
Assists in the facilitation of onsite interviews.
Helps coordinate meetings, including food ordering as needed.
Handles special administrative projects from Accounting, HR, Security and others.
Two years of administrative experience
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work and excel in a team oriented environment
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
Ability to learn and adapt to change
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Other Considerations: This position is W-2 only; no Corp-to-Corp or 1099 candidates. Relocation will not be offered. Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual’s primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.
