The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Storyteller & Strategist to join our team. This role is pivotal in amplifying our brand’s voice, crafting compelling narratives, and driving engagement across social media platforms. If you have a flair for storytelling, love creating impactful content, and are excited about shaping the travel experiences of people of color, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute innovative social media and public relations strategies to increase our followers, boost website traffic, and enhance brand visibility.
- Content Creation & Management: Lead the daily management of our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), crafting engaging posts, stories, reels, TikToks, and shorts that resonate with our audience.
- Community Building: Manage and grow our Facebook groups, fostering a sense of community among our travelers and encouraging active participation.
- Visual Storytelling: Design captivating custom content using Canva and other tools, ensuring that our visuals align with our brand narrative and aesthetic.
- Trend Analysis & Reporting: Stay ahead of social media trends, conducting regular analysis and providing actionable insights and recommendations. Prepare monthly reports directly for the CEO.
- Event Promotion: Assist in promoting our events, leveraging social media platforms to drive interest and participation.
- Collaborative Growth: Work closely with the Founder and team members to expand our business, exploring new opportunities to enhance our social media presence and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Travel: A deep enthusiasm for travel and exploration, especially within the context of empowering people of color.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be ready to travel as needed. A valid passport is required.
- Professionalism & Service Excellence: A commitment to delivering the highest quality of service with professionalism and integrity.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage audiences.
- Social Media Expertise: Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, with additional experience in Twitter and Pinterest being a plus.
- Creative Design: Proficiency in using Canva for content creation.
- Growth Mindset: A willingness to contribute to the overall growth of Adventure in Black, with a strong work ethic, creativity, and a sense of fun.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer position with compensation through commission and the opportunity for free travel.
