UI Developer - 6 month Contract

Position Summary:
A technology-focused role that seeks to create digital software that entices the user into a seamless interaction between human and computer. The job requires strong understanding of design practices, with a focus on how the program engages the user in a positive experience. This role will focus on translating mock-ups and/or wireframes to the end user of our enterprise of web applications.

The role requires great reading comprehension and technical skills, but also a knack for understanding human behavior. As the UI developer, you will be responsible for implementing the desired experience on the front-end, and tying it to the business layer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
Optimize application and assets for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Job Requirements and Specifications:
3-5+ years front end development experience
Experience with web design
Required Technical Skills
HTML5 and CSS3
Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Technical Skills
UX PIN/Adobe XD (rapid prototyping tools)

Education and Experience:
Requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five or more years of related experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to write code on the fly, and think through the potential downsides to an approach, to ultimately support a better product in the end.

Physical Demands:
Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer-based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.).
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
Work will require occasional evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
