The Digital Content Editor will join a growing marketing team as we support a rapidly growing business. One of the team’s primary objectives is contributing to a third of our organizations sales targets. The Copywriter role will support content marketing and campaign programs, serving the need to expand our digital presence and drive demand. Assignments may include coordinating interviews with subject matter specialists, managing project workflow and identifying gaps in inputs based on content plan requirements. The copywriter also focuses on optimizing content for findability and searchability, and making recommendations about ways to maximize stakeholder satisfaction and content performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned
Write and edit an array of externally facing content assets, including but not limited to: blog and social copy, white papers, web pages, videos scripts, product data sheets, case studies, brochures, infographics, etc.
Write and edit activation content that promotes content assets, including landing pages, emails, social promotional blocks and banner text, for example
Write internal documents as is applicable, such as sales enablement materials and employee communications
Infuse the QTS brand voice into all copy assignments consistent with the goals and objectives of each deliverable
Leverage content input documents such as corporate and solution messaging, audience and persona information, buyer journey, marketing plans, and technology/industry trend information
Utilize requirements indicated in creative briefs; articulate questions and identify gaps that need to be addressed for effective content creation
Interview subject matter specialists and others whose input should be reflected in content; identify, articulate and obtain closure on any conflicting information and/or other anomalies in input
Incorporate keywords identified by subject matter specialists and/or project owners to ensure search engine optimization
Manage copywriting project workflow and delivery
Iterate, proof and finalize content as required
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Liberal Arts
Three or more years experience writing for similar b-to-b organizations or in public relations, digital marketing or advertising agencies
Three or more years of journalism, copy-writing or publishing experience ideally with a digital focus
Experience with a marketing automation platform (especially Pardot)
Experience with a content management system (especially Sitecore)
Related market/industry experience desirable
Technical/product category experience desirable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent writing and editing skills
Experience with multiple content asset and audience types
Cross-functional project management skills
Journalistic storytelling skills; understands how to craft engaging content
Content lifecycle management and/or general project management
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and consensus-building skills
Understands SEO best practices
Familiarity with variety of inbound/outbound digital marketing, paid, earned and owned channels
Able to handle web publishing and content management and inventory tools
