We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the Senior System Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems and networks of AUL Corp.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Ability to manage and maintain the following systems: Active Directory, security groups, Windows Domain Controllers, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, NTFS permissions, Windows and Linux systems within Hyper-V virtualization, Group policies, WSUS, SMB, IIS, Veeam.
  • Familiar with ticketing systems and processes.
  • Networking knowledge of the following: Cisco IOS, DNS, VLAN, Routing, Switching, ACL, NAT, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP, STP/RSTP/MST, PBR, WIFI, stateful firewall management, and a solid fundamental understanding of Layers 2/3 of OSI model.
  • Scope, configure, execute, and trouble-shoot software/hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades (requires periodic after-hours work).
  • Monitoring and supporting critical network/system services.
  • Diagnose and correct computer system issues.
  • Deploy Windows system updates according to policies/procedures.
  • Create/maintain workstation images for deployment (helpdesk deploys images).
  • User account creation and termination utilizing company policies.
  • Manage Antivirus platform and ensures computer systems are up to date with latest Antivirus.
  • Maintain the inventory for all hardware and software.

Qualifications / Education / Necessary Skills

5+ years of experience with Systems/Network Administration

Network Management / Administration

Microsoft Windows Server Administration

Internet Information Server (IIS)

Linux experience and knowledge a plus

PBX and VOIP experience a plus

Database knowledge and management a plus

Relevant certifications below:

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA/E)
