Staffing & Compliance Coordinator
The National Society for the Gifted & Talented is looking for a Staffing & Compliance Coordinator to successfully manage the hiring of qualified staff for NSGT academic programs. This includes pre-program planning, oversight and post-program conclusions for the Summer Institute for the Gifted Programs. The Staffing & Compliance Coordinator position is located in Stamford, CT and is anticipated to start October 1, 2018.

Responsibilities

Recruit for seasonal positions by posting online job ads & attending recruitment events
Interview, hire, and place positions on campuses for summer program
Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of staff for the Online Program
Assist in the formatting and editing of annual staff training manuals, job descriptions, and on site presentations
Facilitate the collection of employee background check clearance forms, fingerprinting documentation and employment paperwork
Coordinate collection of employee references for all new summer employees
Maintain confidential files, paperwork, and communications, manage email inbox, and attend trainings
Summarize and distribute staff evaluations
Remain current and up-to-date on state and federal employment regulations and state-wide camp regulations
Update and assemble handbooks for each cam
Facilitate the collection of staff health history and physical forms, nurse certifications, staff First Aid and CPR certifications
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
Human Resources and administrative experience (preferred)
Experience working with and knowledge of summer programs or camps (preferred)
Technical competence ion Microsoft Office
Must be available to work over-time during busy season (March- June) as well as be on call during summer months (June – August)
Must be a team player with a positive attitude
Ability to adapt to change and multitask
Must be willing and able to travel as needed (travel is minimal)
