Title: Senior Global Marketing Director, Intimate Care

Location: Dallas, TX

The Role:
The Senior Global Marketing Director reports into the Global Sector Leader. This strategic commercial business leader will have P&L accountability and will be responsible for driving global share revenue and profit growth for a Category. He/she will develop cohesive and aligned global sector, brand strategies and plans in order to deliver financial sector goals by influencing and working closely with the company’s Regional Sectors and key countries around the world. In addition, He/she will drive the strategic plan by establishing a category portfolio and innovation strategy.

In broad terms, the primary purpose and function of the role is to:

Create a global category and brand vision to drive growth strategies
Identify the market opportunities and K-C’s targeted spaces, the consumer segmentation and align the global brand profile; K-C’s brand(s)/ portfolio strategy and strategic go-to-market pathway
Identify Capability and organization requirement recommendations
Partners with RSLs, Agency, and Lead Markets to develop and execute Global Brand Ideas, which will be led by the Consumer Experience resource
Align the Regional Sectors Leaders and key stakeholders; Lead a core team cross functional Capabilities Team
Set Objectives / Goals / Strategies / Measures (OGSiM) for the category, align it regionally and cross functionally.
Lead the development of the Brand Foundational Tools, which include:
Brand Segmentation
Brand Architecture
Brand Promise
Support the Global Innovation team to achieve a robust pipeline of product innovations and solutions.
Ensure major initiatives across multiple markets and clusters are successfully launched.
Build a cohesive and effective team to deliver the Sector OGSiM
Champion effective marketing strategies and plans, integrate Global Marketing Office (GMO) processes, tools and resources and enable best practices sharing.
Hot Spot diagnosis and action plan

Key accountabilities and business priorities:
Delivering Goals: Set long term sector strategic vision and direction to deliver Sector and Global Business Plan (GBP) goals

Jointly accountable with Regional Sectors for delivering OGSM and sector targets (financial, market share and brand equity)
Marketing: Establish architecture, portfolio and priorities

Define strategy and portfolio based on competitive intelligence
Leads and drives the category/brand agenda with Regional sector Leaders to achieve stronger brand equity and market results
Create an environment to share and leverage best practice and knowledge sharing
Draws on and supports the GMO agenda for improving marketing capabilities and processes
Innovation: Drives the implementation of innovation – in collaboration with RSLs, Global Innovation Director and R&E

Assigns resources and builds teams to support innovation agenda.
Lead the cross functional team (supply chain, procurement, R&E, design, GMR&A) to deliver against margin accretive innovation
Works with R&E and Global Innovation Director to develop long term technical strategy in support of vision and growth plans. Drive budget decisions
Collaborates with regional senior leadership to drive implementation
Drive Cost improvement initiatives in support of the global procurement, continuous improvement, pricing and analytics teams

Drive global cost transformation
Leverage analytics to drive improvement of pricing
Organizational Leadership: Develops and sustains talent

Manages a team of Senior Brand Manager(s) &/or Brand Manager(s) and works closely on a matrix basis with Capability, R&E and Regional leaders
Creates and environment where team attracts, develops and retains the best people
Fosters an environment that motivates a diverse team to fully use its capabilities in achieving desired business results.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a classically-trained, globally-oriented CPG Marketer with a strategic brand building foundation and skill set, a strong general management / commercial orientation and a record of successful P&L management and driving growth. He / she will have experience in several categories and international &/or global experience. He / she will have drive, energy, a strong bias for action and a clear results orientation. He / she will lead by example, working in a matrix organization effectively. The incumbent will be a strong people manager and actively drive the development of the team members to maximize personal and team success.

Skills / competencies :
Strategic Marketing and Brand Management Skills: The successful candidate will have built, budgeted and executed both long term strategic and short term operational marketing plans that have resulted in above average business growth and performance. He/she will have experience in all facets of marketing / brand management (segmentation, positioning, market research and consumer insight development, new product development, pricing, sales forecasting, promotions, advertising and digital marketing)

Business / Commercial Acumen: While being a marketer at the core, this person will think and act like a general manager. He / she will have strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a solid commercial grounding He/she will be able to grasp key business drivers and identify and capitalize on consumer trends and insights to develop creative / breakthrough business-building strategies and programs and innovative new products. Building credibility fast throughout the regional and global organizations (up to the level of the regional and sector VP’s and Presidents) is key in order to be successful in this position

Building and Leading Teams: This person will also be able to prioritize issues and opportunities, allocate resources and manage effectively in a matrix environment. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with the ability to build, motivate, manage, and develop strong teams (both direct and indirect)

Building Relationships and Using Influence : The incumbent needs to be an excellent communicator, driving a clear message through the organization globally. In addition to being a collaborative team player, this person will have a track record of building and sustaining relationships across all functions and through all levels in an organization to ensure seamless integration and flawless execution of marketing and business plans. He/she will also have a strong cultural sensitivity and a track record of building relationships across international markets and in a matrix organization.
