The day-to-day*
- Attend BEO meetings and communicate back to the banquet staff.
- Ensure functions are appropriately posted in necessary areas.
- Supervise the handling, storage, and security of catering services equipment.
- Supervise proper set-up for on-site events.
- Supervise clearing and post-function clean-up.
- Maintain constant contact with chefs.
- Ensure the banquet checklist is completed, and appropriate information is communicated to the night auditor.
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Oversee the staff with the help of the department leader on a daily basis.
- Assist in the training of banquet servers and bartenders.
- Respond to guest complaints and special requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Though prior experience is preferred, it is not necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
