Current Need
McKesson is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

As a Marketing Analyst with McKesson Medical-Surgical, you will be responsible for building transparency on promotional campaign performance and investment returns in support of customer acquisition, retention, and other pertinent aspects of marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical support across various segments of the marketing department.
  • Provide support for the product marketing function through research and analysis of the company's markets, competition and product mix.
  • Research and make presentations on dynamics that impact medical surgical market.
  • Analyze the competitive environment and future trends and makes recommendations.
  • Critical thinker and demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of data manipulation, data relationships, spreadsheets, queries, and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong ability to generate meaningful data analysis to influence action.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative modeling methods and concepts.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
5+ years experience in analytics or data related fields

Critical Skills
  • 5+ years experience working with technology and large amounts of data.
  • 5+ years experience analyzing promotional campaigns, events and/or measuring key performance indicators
  • 5 + years experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualization to identify and predict market trends and dynamics
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Business Applications to include: Access, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2+ years experience with SQL (writing and editing queries)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Business Objects Reporting preferred
  • Ability to use data-driven insights to recommend actions to improve performance to Marketing leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating and manipulating promotion forecasting models to assess financial liabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of company products
  • Technical background
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to uses syndicated data sources to gain better understanding of Medical Surgical market, customers and market trends. A few examples but not limited to are:
o Definitive Data

o Google Analytics Data

o GHX market data

o IMS data

o CMS

o CDC

Education
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
