Job Description Summary
The data entry/computer operator is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of a variety of data including patient information, insurance information, and billing-related information. This position consists of prolonged sitting and long exposure to computer screens. This position requires overtime, as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone very comfortable with computers and an above average typing speed (50+ WPM). They are a very detail-oriented and reliable person. They have previous healthcare experience, preferably in home health.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Accurately enters a variety of data into EMR systems.
- Assists in the functions of patient care management through timely and accurate data entry and system reporting.
- Verifies accuracy of data entered through the use of information systems reports.
- Performs a daily backup of information in the system(s).
- Alerts appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for data entry.
- Alerts appropriate members to resolve system problems that negatively impact the speed and accuracy of data entry functions.
- Performs other specific projects relating to data entry and computer operations as required.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization information at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications
- At least two years experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care information systems.
- Experience in using EMR software is highly preferred.
- Is a high school graduate or equivalent, two years of college are preferred.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google, etc.
- Strong data entry abilities with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Experience with databases and ERP systems preferred.
- Previous office experience with a focus on data collection and filing.
- Ability to multitask.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
