The Associate Operations Manager assists in driving the execution of operations strategy for the Data & Statistical Sciences organization through collaboration and partnership with the group Director and other members of the team. As a member of the operations function you ensure that the organization runs seamlessly by actively engaging with members of the statistics, programming and data management teams as well as cross-functional business partners such as outsourcing, finance, IT and facilities. You are expected to demonstrate leadership by proactively managing processes and identifying and implementing ideas for improvement.
Contract management – Serve as the point of contact between DSS and contracting functions within Abbvie. Draft agreements and manage requests through the contracting process. Proactively manage renewals for agreements and software. Ensure the organization is in compliance with SOPs and contract terms.
Financial management – Track and trend spending on contracts and offer advice on how to maximize utilization of internal and external resources. Responsible for verifying services rendered by suppliers and approving invoices.
Sharepoint management – Lead the design and update of the organization sharepoint sites and infrastructure. Collaborate with technical resources to execute your vision.
Smartsheet administrator – Act as the administrator and system expert for a new project management tool gaining acceptance across the organization.
Lead and manage cross-functional department projects to achieve organization objectives.
Assist with developing organizational communication and implementing across the various platforms available.
Lead the DSS team building committee to increase the sense of community and promote interaction between coworkers.
Lead the planning and implementation of small scale capital projects and assist with space planning, tracking and assignments.
Associates/Bachelor/Master of Science (BSc/MSc) in Science or Business-related Field, or equivalent; Associates Degree with 4+ years of experience; BSc with 2+ years of experience
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry required with a focus in drug development
Team or project management related experience.
General experience working on projects.
Ability to build and manage relationships with manager and group members.
Good communication skills.
Experience working in Excel, Sharepoint & SAP preferred.
