Operating entirely on revenue from game sales, rather than tax dollars, the Virginia Lottery generates approximately $1.6 million per day for Virginia's K-12 public schools. The Virginia Lottery is currently seeking a Digital Coordinator to join our Digital Department. The Digital Coordinator will be responsible for planning, communication, collaboration, and execution of the day-to-day operations facilitating customer acquisition for the Lottery's Digital Department. Being well-versed in all things digital, this position will provide support for digital acquisition strategies and plans for new and existing technologies, including website(s) and mobile applications. Collaborating with the Digital Experience and Digital Engagement teams in a highly agile environment, this position will coordinate digital games development, portfolio management, advertising, and promotional efforts. Responsibilities include daily monitoring and maintenance of digital acquisition efforts while providing support and input on Digital Department projects and initiatives. The Digital Coordinator will collaborate across the organization, including Information Technology Services (ITS), Advertising and Gaming, Sales, Communications, and other departments to make certain that all details, documentation, and general execution of digital initiatives are coordinated and communicated throughout the business. Digital advertising duties will include: - Working closely with all departments and vendors to coordinate, communicate, and execute digital advertising efforts - Continuous monitoring of all digital acquisition efforts, gathering data and metrics from internal resources as well as vendor partners to provide reporting and insights on site/app traffic and sales performance - Developing and distributing digital game sales and profit reports - Collaborating with external agencies; ensuring targets related to the planning and execution of ad buys, campaign implementation, testing and results are attained - Managing the Digital Department advertising budget - Developing and distributing digital campaign advertising reports and analysis, with recommendations and lessons learned, for Digital Department campaign activities - Conducting industry analysis, keeping up-to-date on digital trends, social media, mobile, video and emerging technologies Digital games development duties will include: - Implementing digital game strategies and tactics to achieve goals - Coordinating the digital games approval process to include prize structure development, working paper and work order creation/approval, along with customer acceptance testing - Maintaining and communicating the digital games production launch schedule with vendor partners, including work orders and production testing - Contributing to the digital games strategy and road-map development - Leveraging consumer research, in-market testing, reporting and analytics - Monitoring digital game product operations and identifying specific areas for improvement - Maintaining strong and positive relationships with vendor partners
Minimum Qualifications The person selected for this position will have: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college with major studies in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field - Three or more years of experience in digital advertising, customer acquisition strategies, and vendor management In addition, the successful candidate will possess: - Practical experience in successful direct-response programs supporting an e-commerce platform that resulted in increased traffic and increased conversions - Ability to thrive in an agile environment - Strong analytics background using data to shape strategy, tactics and decisions - Experience in consumer insights and marketing research, brand and digital strategy - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working across departmental functions - A solid level of knowledge and technical understanding across a wide range of digital disciplines including web, mobile, social, search, content, CRM, data management and analytics - Innovative and collaborative experience with excellent attention to detail - Strong relationship building experience - Experience working with third-party vendors and agency partners - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: - Lottery experience - Lottery game development experience and/or experience in e-commerce with a focus on customer acquisition
Special Requirements The selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation and possess a valid Driver's License. Minimum travel required.
