Achieving Excellence
As the Nordic Spa Facilities Supervisor, you are authorized to exceed guest expectations by leading your people to create "picture perfect" guest experiences throughout the Spa each and every shift. You will achieve excellence by facilitating and overseeing the Spas day-to-day maintenance, including minor repairs and improvements, preventative maintenance, championing life & safety standards, collaborating with the Spa Facilities Operations Manager on major repairs and improvements, supporting other operational departments. Tasks & Responsibilites
- Product Knowledge of all pools, sauna, steam rooms and spa layout, amenities and Emergency Exits. In addition to understanding various system requirements, i.e. mechanical, electrical, fixtures and equipment.
- Collaborating across all spa departments to support each departmental maintenance program and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Preventing minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by promptly investigating all maintenance requests/work orders and prioritizing the needs of the Spa. Documents and maintains detailed records on all physical equipment, life safety systems and items requiring regular inspection.
- Maintains pools, sauna, steam rooms, public guest space (indoor and outdoor), and back of house areas by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained spa.
- Be aware and vigilant to protect yourself, employees, guests and the property against safety hazards. Take responsibility for following up on repairs or solutions and their execution.

Education & Experience
- Requires advanced understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry concepts.
- Trade Certifications is an asset.
- Safety Certifications is an asset.
- Previous certification or hotel maintenance is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
Working Conditions
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with employees, guests and other stakeholders. Working outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -30 C / -22 F to +30 C / +86 F.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
