The Creative Director serves as a creative force and critical leader at Up&Up. As a leader, you are using research and brand strategy to inform creative. At the end of the day, the creative you produce brings clarity to what the client wants to tell the world.

Role Overview & Responsibilities
You will work and play well with internal teammates, be open to feedback, and focus on doing great creative while meeting the objectives of the clients and Up&Up. What this role isn't for: Your typical egotistical Creative Director. We aren't solely here to get our creative ya-yas, to win awards or earn the respect and adoration of our peers. Nor are we here to simply entertain our own creative urges or try something new just because "it's cool" with disregard to budgets, client objectives or the agency's needs. We're here to help bring clarity and let the world know about what our clients have to offer. In the end, we're here guide people to make informed decisions that make a positive ripple effect on hundreds if not thousands of lives. So park your ego. Here, creative is an important means to an end, but it's not the end. The end is accomplishing our clients' objectives working with the client and the team that's going after the same thing: to make a difference in people's lives.
To be successful in this role, you'll work closely with the project management team and the account management team on project workflow. You will play a vital role in successfully serving Up&Up's higher education clients. The right person for this role will embody the Up&Up culture of learning. You are tenacious, solution-oriented, and committed to bringing fresh new ideas, playing a key role in catapulting Up&Up into a leading name in the industry.
Grow and develop Up&Up's creative capabilities as an agency, leading to meaningful new business as well as additional business from existing clients.
Ideate and work closely with other internal teams, resulting in the most creative solutions and best possible overall client deliverables.
Lead, inspire, and develop the creative team, leading and coaching the team to increasingly produce groundbreaking work and feel more confident in their skill sets and capabilities.
7-10 years total experience at a brand / marketing / digital agency
Proficient in managing the creative development process in a client-services environment
Provide clear, creative direction
Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels, both internal and client-facing
Skills in using resources effectively and efficiently; reliable work habits; ability to organize and self-direct execution of tasks/duties
Portfolio of Award-winning work
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite of products
Bachelor Degree or greater
