The Child Mind Institute is seeking a Research Assistant to work on the Youth Mental Health Academy
The YMHA is a unique, exciting, multifaceted program with the goal of identifying under-represented minority and disadvantaged high school students and helping them realize their potential to join the workforce with careers in mental health science and practice. High school-aged participants in the YMHA will be provided a range of workshops, immersive mentoring, and networking opportunities. To succeed at this goal will require creativity, imagination, and energy to build novel opportunities and services in California, with the possibility of a very broad impact on and transforming child and adolescent mental health. In addition, this position provides the opportunity to engage with a broad range of clinicians, policy-makers, researchers, and community leaders.
The Research Assistant will assist the YMHA team with project coordination, literature review, management of data collection tools, and communication with YMHA participants. With strong interpersonal and organizational skills, this candidate should possess a keen attention to detail, a strong willingness to learn and computer skills related to data management and preparation of data summary and presentation. The Child Mind Institute fosters a collaborative environment where Research Assistants have the opportunity to gain excellent clinical and research experience, with the potential to be involved in publications.
Reporting to the Student Data Coordinator, YMHA, this is a non-exempt full time, hybrid (minimum 3 days in office) position located in our NYC headquarters office.
